Instead, requiring more adamantine for my armour, I decided to see if there were spires a few Z levels up. I had isolated two spires with such accuracy that I felt like paying minesweeper again, deciding to ignore those spires. I had found adamantine and eagerly carved the secure pieces off the mountain, carefully avoiding the possible clown car doors. The answer for my problems arrived in a bit different way. This time I decided to go for a bit of everything, building an elaborately over-engineered clown trap involving more stages than an average NASA space rocket. I had tried direct confontration, splitting the clowns in small pieces and using motti tactics for taking them one-by-one, falling the mountain on the buggers, casting them in obsidian and utilizing labyrinth melee arenas that blocked fireballs. Managing dwarves during a clown car opening requires extreme micromanagement and precision, and the average Urist has way too low discipline to follow orders properly. However, every time I tried doing it I screwed up somehow. The former is currently too hard, but the circus is certainly achievable. I think that there are two main challenges in the game: Undead biomes and joining the circus. I have tried to conquer the HFS about 10 times.
